Another Chromolithograph card showing a wonderful example of the use of Clovers in the New Years cards which was typical to New Years card scenes in Mid to late 1800's. The idea behind it was to bring luck into the new year for the receiver. Clovers symbolize the luck of the Irish.  This one has them in abundance and I wish you the best of luck in the new year!

Here is the DECO-ERA, CHILD LIFE magazine mechanical paper doll page: THE NEW NEW YEAR by John Dukes McKee, from January 1928.

Since this paper doll was intended for you to cut out and make I don't think there is a copyright for it. I couldn't find one. But based on the 1928 date to play it safe be sure to use for personal use.

I have created a new years card kit for you by using several vintage items as well as from scratch. The front has a leather book cover from the 1800's as well as an art deco image of a woman. The background paper is an art deco design and the doves are from an old Christmas card. The kit has cards and matching envelope that you can print onto 8X10" card stock or photo paper. Have your new Silhouette Cameo cut it out for you if you like it works with that too!

The kit has one sheet with 2 fronts and 2 card backs. The second sheet has two envelops. Cut the cards out and match the fronts to the backs glue and or seal with double sided tape.  Cut the envelopes out and fold on the fold lines. Seal it closed using glue, tape, or a tape runner.  Card sample on left: glued and folded in half.

There is a spot on the back of the card to personalize with your name as well as a spot inside the card to add a name or date. Use them for party invites if you like. These are for your personal use only not to be shared on other sites or sold. Available free for a limited time. See TOU; Thanks!
