In 1889 he married Agnes Roberts (born 1872, 15 years his junior) with whom he had 10 children.

What I find very interesting about his style is that though many illustrations were very humorous and larger than life there is a certain amount of realism to them. I almost would like to say that maybe perhaps he  helped to influence Norman Rockwell.

If you were to make a Christmas scene project I thought that he would be wonderful in front of an arm chair and fire place looking out his window at Carolers.

This is a gorgeous little image from the 1940's of a little girl whose face is lit by the punkin.  Now I will always give you a little warning if something is outside the safe zone for the Public Domain.  This would be one of those times so I highly caution to not pass on this image and to specifically use it in personal projects only as in this case I have no idea recollection of where I got it and because of the date it would technically not be in the public domain.

With that being said I colorized it from black and white for you and hope you love as much as me. I mostly try to share only what I own...but once in a while I get inspired. And this was just so darn beautiful.

This gorgeous map is approximately circa 1642 - 1643. A lovely hand drawn/colored map.  It is in lovely condition aside from the slight fold discoloration down the center but that just gives it more character.

Use if for travel photos, scrapbooks, tags cards and such.

So I have a wonderful surprise for you.  You see I came across the vintage photo of the little girl on the left about 2 weeks ago and I always keeping my eyes open for the gorgeous, fun and unusual.  I then came across the Happy Birthday Card below a week later.  I had thought the little girl was familiar so I went through my shots and lo and behold its the same girl!  This is the first time I have ever come across this situation and I had to share it with you.

I call her creepy doll for a reason.  Look into her large eyes on the left and they are mesmerizing and spooky.  Such a beautiful little girl.  I wonder who she is and where she is now.
