This gorgeous couple is a wonderful example of woodblock illustrations from the mid 1800's. The depth that was achieved in this drawing by lines alone is eloquent. Look how soft and delicate her features. Beautiful!

This is a gorgeous Victorian hand holding a rose. A lot of these were done around the late 1800's and kept in scrapbooks. Some may be writing letters or holding writing pens, and others like this one beautiful flowers.  This one is a particularity gorgeous sample. You can see light veining in the hand and the details in the petals of the rose are embossed. This would be lovely in a pop up card or on a vintage pillow. Plus she is wearing a wedding ring so maybe this would be great on a wedding project too.

Did you know that they used to call Bikes "Boneshakers"? Very early bicycles were called hobby horses or bone shakers. These were replaced with the high-wheeler/Penny-farthing (the one with the big front wheel and the small rear wheel. But look close even though the gentleman is on a Penny-farthing the lady is sporting a 3 wheeler ride with a small front wheel.  This was called a Velocipedes.
